Do you ever feel like you want to get out there and do something different; something new? Is there something that is holding you back? Are you holding you back? Are you too afraid of what could go wrong, that you are stopping yourself from doing something that you love? There are things that you can do to change that, but it all starts with you. And it all starts with bringing up your confidence, as well as using the following steps.
Step 1: Breathe
Change isn’t the easiest thing in the world to do. You have to first figure out what the problem is that is holding you back, and then go from there. So, for the first step. you need to step back and breathe. Remember, it all starts with you, so remember to breathe and sort out what you think the problem is. That will lead us to step 2.
Step 2: Identify
Are you shy? Introverted? Are you afraid of what could happen? Are you worried that maybe if you make a choice, that it might be the wrong one? Identify the different things that you think are holding you back. If a list is too intimidating for you, think about it for a bit. What is exactly holding you back? Think about your fears, about your doubts, about what is keeping you back from getting what you want. Once you identify what is holding you back, you will be able to plan on ways to change that.
Step 3: Planning
Now that you have identified what could be the problem areas, now it is time to plan out how you are going to work on changing them. Start small, and find the smaller of the problems. Put a list in order, if you have to, to find out the more important of the changes. After your planning, it’s time to put the plan into action.
Step 4: Execution
This is the scary part, I can say from personal experience. You have identified the problem, and planned out what you want to change, so now you have to execute it. Scary, right? Well, it is time to overcome that fear, and set forth and change those little, or sometimes not so little, things about you. The way that you execute your plan will be the first step in changing yourself.
It All Starts With You
Don’t be afraid of change. There comes a time when it is necessary for change to happen. Just don’t lose yourself in the process. Make sure that you are changing for you, and not for everyone else. Remember, it all starts with you. Bring your confidence up, and be the better you that you’ve always wanted to be.
