You Gotta Be You, Before You Can Be Us

So, you wanna be in a relationship, but there is something that is holding you back. You. You want the relationship to work, but you are not confident in yourself enough. The way you feel about the person is strong, but you are not strong enough for the relationship to work. So, how do you fix this? Start by doing it for you.

Find A Hobby

Doing it for you
Different hobbies are out there, find yours.

Find something that you like to do, but make sure it is something that you do on your own. Sure, it is amazing to hang out with friends, or that one that you have your eye on, but you need to be able to be on your own as well. When you find a hobby that you enjoy doing, when the time comes when you don’t have someone to hang out with, you have this to do.

Gain Confidence In Yourself

This one may be slightly difficult, especially if your confidence isn’t high to begin with. But you need to look at it this way: if you don’t like you, how do you expect that special someone to like you? It is going to be hard, especially if you have low confidence to begin with, but finding small things about yourself that you like is a great start. Tell yourself everyday that you are worth it; that you are an amazing person who can do anything you set your mind to. ¬†When you tell yourself this everyday, your confidence will rise.

Find Your Inner Strength

You may not seem like you are strong all the time, and that is okay, you don’t have to be. But be strong for you, not for everyone around you. When you find your inner strength, you will realize that you will be able to handle any situation that comes your way.

Just Be You

No matter what, you have to still be true to who you are. You cannot change completely just because you like someone. A little change, to help yourself, is a great thing. Make sure, however, that you are doing it for you, and not just to gain the attention. Once you start changing for others, you will lose yourself. Just make sure to stay true to who you are, and that you are changing for you; to better you.

Doing It For You, No Matter What

Changing doesn’t necessarily mean that you are going to have the one that you want. But don’t let this stop you from being a better you. Don’t focus on changing for that person. You should always be focused on you, no matter what that entails.
